DT (design and technology) at Shire Oak
At Shire Oak we follow the National Curriculum for teaching DT. We have used the Projects on a Page scheme of work to develop our DT curriculum. Links are made with other subjects and some skills may be taught in art lessons or in conjunction with other subjects (e.g. shelters in history). Projects use the context of topics taught in class to give them meaning for the children as well as ensuring that children acquire the knowledge and develop the skills they need for future study, work and life.
